How many times have you pondered if life could be made simpler? In my case, this question has crossed my mind on countless occasions, and for this reason, I am joyed to share my five life hacks that have continued to serve me well for years.
Hack 1: Adhere to a Budget Plan
Given the extreme cost of living parameters society is unfortunately facing, I have been religiously creating a budget list since 2020 and wouldn’t live my life any other way.
By applying yourself to a disciplined weekly, fortnightly or monthly budget plan, you will feel so fulfilled by knowing you have allocated yourself adequate funds for utility bills, subscriptions, housing expenses, food and savings without never leaving yourself short.
Hack 2: Create a Meal Plan for the Week
I reset my household every Sunday, and the most fundamental part of my reset pivots around the weekly meal plan. By applying yourself to a weekly meal plan it will ensure that you portion your meals without any food going to waste.
Additionally, the meal plan you create will dovetail into your budget plan to ensure that you are not overspending on takeaway food throughout the week.
Hack 3: Manage Your Time Resourcefully
We all live a busy and somewhat chaotic lifestyle, while trying to juggle a full-time job, manage a household, pursue research for a dissertation/PhD, and everything else in between.
As a remedy, I utilise my calendar consistently with colour coded blocks to ensure that my time is managed with utmost productivity.
Hack 4: Maintain a Focused Schedule
Due to my demanding profession, I maintain a focused “to-do list” schedule to achieve maximum efficiency daily.
I have been practicing this method for years, and the results have allowed me to achieve nothing but greatness.
Hack 5: Invest in Yourself
In amongst the chaos and challenges that life prevails from time to time, don’t forget to take time for yourself to regroup and recharge, by way of eating healthily, exercise, enjoy a spa day or massage, and most importantly, ensure that you are getting enough sleep.
