The Student Voice Survey is back in 2025 from the 31st of March – have your say in all things university life and help make your student experience the best it can be!
The Student Voice Survey is run with the direct initiative to receive feedback from current Charles Sturt students to improve all aspects of student services and campus experiences.

The survey asks for student feedback on a range of topics such as student groups and clubs, financial support through scholarships, mental well-being support from counsellors, access to workshops and events, improvements to Student Central, and so much more. It is so important to make your voice heard as a student on the aspects of university life that directly impact you – and this is one of the best ways to do it.

For me, the most important parts of student life are financial management, extracurricular activities, and mental well-being. A large focus of my feedback in the Student Voice Survey of 2024 was on improving the student experience and access to student groups and sporting clubs, as well as ways to ease the financial strain of studying and providing the university with ideas to help support students through stressful periods like exam time. This is your chance to give feedback on what is important to YOU!

Everyone’s feedback is valued, and responses go towards making real changes to improve the student experience at Charles Sturt. Check out some of the recent initiatives that have been implemented based on the Student Voice Survey from 2024:
- Increased support for student groups, including sports clubs, especially for those that are new or trying to build up member numbers
- Improved orientation week experiences, and easier access to information when you need it
- Increased scholarship availability to provide more financial support to students, especially with the current cost of living crisis and the stress of undertaking placements or other work-integrated learning
- Free coffee, food, massages, and more on campus during exam weeks and for intensive students. Easing the pressure of making lunch the morning of a big exam, caffeine to revive you after that all-nighter studying, and massages to melt the stress away make the biggest difference to mental well-being as a student during exam periods

The survey only takes 5 minutes to complete and can be filled out from the comfort of your own home at the end of a long day at uni (or at least, that’s how I did it!). The best part? Everyone who participates goes into the draw to win 1 of 15 $100 Prezzee gift cards! As a final-year vet student heading into 12 months of compulsory placement, being the lucky winner of one of these gift vouchers made all the difference to my finances and helped me out with groceries while I was away from home.
Keep an eye out on your email inbox for your personalised link to complete the survey. Don’t worry, all responses are anonymous, so take the opportunity to provide your honest feedback and be part of student-driven change.
