I’m currently in my third year of physiotherapy at Charles Sturt University in Albury, studying full-time on campus. Outside of uni, life is just as full — I’m a mum to a busy two-year-old, working two jobs (and on extended leave from another), running my own small business, and staying active through the gym and netball.

On top of all this, I’m neurodivergent, which brings its own set of challenges when it comes to managing such a full schedule. I’ve often been asked, “How do you do it?” and honestly, it’s not always easy.
What helps most is having a strong support network around me and doing my best to manage my time (even if I don’t always get it right). I’ve also learned that I thrive when I’m busy, an active mind keeps me grounded.

One of my roles is working as an Allied Health Assistant, supporting clients in the NDIS and aged care sectors. The flexibility of this role, along with my other jobs, allows me to balance work around my university schedule and still be present for my son.

Starting my own business came during maternity leave, when I realised that I needed a creative outlet. Creating custom sugar cookies became that space for me, something that fills my cup and allows me to switch off from everything else.

Balancing all of this while studying full-time is challenging, and there are definitely tough days. But I keep coming back to the bigger picture; where I’m headed, and the life I’m building for myself and my family.

So, if I can find a way to manage all of this, so can you. Don’t be afraid to go after what you want. Back yourself, have confidence, and trust that you’re capable of more than you think.
