Not sure where to visit for the weekend or for a couple of days, visit the Blue Mountains! It has so much scenery, walks, hikes cafés, and shops worth checking out.
Echo Point (The Three Sisters):
Take in the view of the iconic Three Sisters. This lookout offers stunning views over the Jamison Valley and is a great stop.

Scenic World:
For a different perspective of the mountains, head to Scenic World! You can ride the Skyway, Cableway, Walkway, and even the world’s steepest railway – all offering amazing views of the mountains.
Grand Canyon Walk:
This walk was my favourite! There’s always something new around the corner – whether that be a cave, a waterfall, or a creek. There is so much scenery to take in, it is amazing! This walk took me about 2.5 hours, but I did stop for a swim and some lunch so you could complete it in less time. If you only have time for one walk, do this one, it covers so many diverse aspects of nature, it is so beautiful.

Mermaids Cave:
This walk only takes about 10 minutes. A few stairs leads to this hidden spot. The cave is filled with so much greenery, and if it’s rained recently, you might be lucky to see a waterfall. Although it is short, it is a stunning spot to check out!
Wentworth Falls:
These falls are absolutely beautiful, and definitely worth visiting. There is a short trail that leads to the top of the falls, offering beautiful views of the valley.

Megalong Valley drive:
Take a scenic drive along Megalong Road to the Megalong Valley Tea Rooms. The drive itself is beautiful and very scenic.
Hargraves lookout (Panorama Point)
Finish your day with a sunset at Hargraves Lookout, where the sun sets over the valley and lights up the mountains. A perfect spot to take it all in!
Main strip:
Katoomba’s main strip (Katoomba Street) is filled with cute café’s, local art galleries, restaurants, boutiques that are worth checking out.
