We’re in 2025 already!? That means it’s time to start thinking about our new year’s resolutions. I’ve been reflecting a lot on the last year and have been setting goals for 2025. The start of a new year always feels like a great chance for fresh beginnings and this year I’m focused on personal growth and my life with new experiences.

Here’s my short-list of news years resolutions for 2025:

1. Complete 50 books on my good reads goal.

I love reading, it’s my hobby. So my 2025 good read’s goal is to complete at least 50 books. I have really enjoyed Ana Huang’s writing and Freida McFadden so will be reading their books over the year (p.s. I have already stocked up on the books). I’m hoping this will help me escape a bit more and explore new worlds through reading.

2. Learn more Quran

As a muslim I have always been taught that learning your religion and having knowledge is important. So in 2025 I’m dedicating a lot of time to learning more about its meanings, journaling the Quran and memorising more verses. I hope to make this a regular part of my routine to deepen my faith and understanding.

3. Spend time with family

One of my favourite new year traditions is celebrating with my family, we usually head to Penrith, our local club after we have some dinner but if its not too busy, we sometimes make the trip to the Harbour Bridge and watch the Sydney Harbour fireworks. It’s always nice to spend time with my loved ones and reflect on the year gone by.

I’m really looking forward to these goals in 2025 and excited to see where the year will take me, and I’m especially excited as I will be starting my Masters of Secondary Education! Here’s to new beginnings, growth and moments with those who matter most!
