From Monday 2 September, the Charles Sturt University Library satisfaction survey will be running once again. Most importantly, everyone is invited to participate!
All Charles Sturt students and staff are eligible to participate – those who do will go into a draw for a chance to win a $100 gift card.
What is the Library Satisfaction Survey?
The Library satisfaction survey is an externally administered, nationally benchmarked user satisfaction survey that will be running this year from Monday 2 September – Sunday 15 September 2024.
This survey has analysed the performance of Australian university libraries for many years. The survey aims to examine:
- service delivery
- facilities and equipment
- information resources
- all communications
In previous surveys, people have given feedback in various areas, including:
- customer service
- accessing online content
- library website experience
- physical book collections
- skills and development resources
- general design and layout of library spaces
The more responses the survey receives, the better understanding the Library gets in knowing what is important to both staff and students, and identify areas that could do with improvement or amendment.
Both positive and constructive feedback are invited!
Previous survey results
The Charles Sturt Library satisfaction survey was last conducted back in 2021, and the outcomes of this have been extensive!
In 2021, 3,310 people responded and influenced many adjustments that have been made across our Libraries.
If this doesn’t convince you to have your say in the survey this year, I’m not sure what will!
The following improvements were made based on feedback from the 2021 survey:
- An online booking program for group study rooms has been implemented throughout all Charles Sturt campuses.
- The shared spaces in many campuses have also been improved as a result of the survey! In particular, the Albury-Wodonga library has had improved furnishing throughout the building, including but not limited to: new study booths, ergonomic furniture and a refurbishment of the parent room.
- The Wagga Wagga and Bathurst campuses also received refurbishment and improvement of their libraries, to accommodate the growing needs of students in these campuses.
- Finally, at the Albury-Wodonga, Dubbo and Orange campuses, student-facing services have been upgraded and enhanced through the addition of new Customer Service Officers.
These results speak for themselves, if there is something you would like to have your say about, complete the 2024 survey here!
