What’s the Online SRC up to?

Summary:

Virtual fun and friendship, as well as scholarships, are offered by Australia’s only Online SRC.

The Online Student Representative Committee (SRC) represents the online students at Charles Sturt University. We advocate for our University’s students in the Student Senate with our colleagues in our campus SRCs. We are the only Online SRC in Australia. The Online SRC consists of eleven members, including an executive and a list of additional roles to improve the online study experience. These roles include the Scholarship Committee, Res School Coordinator Team, Sustainability Officer, Equity Liaison and Careers & Skills Liaison. In addition, the Online SRC is proud of our three affiliated online clubs; The Social Club Charles Sturt University, Charles Sturt University Law Society & Post Graduate Student Association Charles Sturt University.

What does the Online SRC offer to all Charles Sturt students?

Weekly photo competitions

Each Monday, a themed photo competition is open for a week. All Charles Sturt Students are welcome to participate. The rules are simple; post an image that relates to the themed prompt, react/vote on your favourite comment, and whichever has the most reactions wins! The winning student receives an Online SRC hoodie! Want to participate in this week’s competition? Check out our Facebook Page!

Sustainable Sunday posts

Fortnightly on Sundays, Jess, our Sustainability Officer, creates posts to encourage Charles Sturt Students on making minor changes to their studies or personal lives to be more environmentally friendly. These posts share handy tips on how to reduce your environmental impact as a student, whilst having fun or improving your grades.

Here are some previous posts to catch up on! Cornel Notes, E Readers & Gifting this holiday Season.
