Port Macquarie is well known for its beautiful beaches!

Beaches worth checking out include:

  • Town Beach,
  • Flynn’s Beach,
  • Lighthouse beach,
  • Shelly Beach,
  • Nobbys beach (If you’re looking for a good dog beach)

Port Macquarie has too many Café’s to pick – a good problem to have! Here are a few of my favourites:

  • Bandwagon Café – this Café is a perfect study spot
  • Salty Crew Kiosk – located at town beach perfect for a coffee with the best view
  • Coast – located at lighthouse beach, perfect for a tasty breakfast
  • Abundance Café – Located a little out of port Macquarie but definitely worth it for its beautiful food selection, as well as its beautiful views overlooking a pond and nursery
  • Baked culture (A little far out in Wauchope but this bakery is perfect for a sweet or savoury pastry and is definitely worth the drive!)

Night life/restaurants:

  • Ichi
  • Little shack
  • Blue Whale Asian Eatery
  • Bar Florian
  • Moorebeer – Located close to the uni
  • Blue cow – Famous for it’s delicious icecream

Grocery stores:

  • Coles lake Innes – perfect location as it is across from the university
  • Coles lighthouse beach
  • Woolworths Settlement City
  • Aldi, hastings river drive
  • Kmart and Officeworks will definitely come in usefull!

Walking/running trails:

  • The breakwall town beach
  • Port Macquarie Coastal Walk
  • Googik track

Activities/things to do:

  • Bowling at Wave bowl
  • Watch a movie at Majestic Cinema’s
  • Spring-loaded
  • X Golf
  • Sea acres rain forest walk
  • Visit the Koala hospital
  • Rock climbing at centre of gravity
  • Stoney Aqua Park
  • Wildnets
  • Billabong zoo
  • Strawberry picking at Ricardo’s tomatoes
