In January, I had the opportunity to attend my first-ever National Australian Pharmacy Students’ Association (NAPSA) Congress, and boy, was it an experience!
I remember walking into my accommodation feeling excited about the week ahead but nervous, not knowing what to expect. As the week unfolded, I absorbed myself in a world of inspiration, connection, and growth (hence the title). NAPSA Congress is the biggest event on the student calendar. It brings together pharmacy students and interns from across Australia and New Zealand.

Educational Sessions and Workshops
Congress was packed with countless educational experiences that enhanced our understanding of pharmacy practice.
From presentations by industry leaders to hands-on workshops, the sessions provided insights into various fields and the future of pharmacy.
It reminded me why I chose this profession and my curiosity as a future healthcare professional.

The Power of Networking
Throughout the week, opportunities to network with like-minded peers and professionals were genuinely enlightening.
There were networking sessions, panel discussions, a trade show exhibition, and social events, which provided countless opportunities to make valuable connections.
Whether you’re chatting with a pharmacy owner about career opportunities, gaining insights from recruitment agencies, or having discussions with students from different universities, every interaction is a chance to grow.

A Balance of Fun and Professional Growth
The week wasn’t complete without a vibrant social calendar. After an intense day of learning and networking, there was equal opportunity to socialise.
Themed parties, group outings, a free day in Brisbane, and gala nights for a relaxing atmosphere to form lifelong friendships with the pharmily (pharmacy family).

A Newfound Inspiration
Congress expanded my knowledge and network and fuelled my passion for pharmacy.
I changed my social media to @samosa.rx, focusing on my pharmacy journey and promoting a culturally inclusive, holistic, and patient-centred approach to healthcare.
It’s amazing how a week can shift perspectives and inspire new ideas!

So, if you are a pharmacy student and can attend, do so!
You’ll leave inspired, empowered, and excited for what’s to come in your pharmacy journey. NAPSA Congress 2026 is held in Sydney.
I will see you there!!
