There are a range of opportunities for experienced students to be involved in university governance by becoming a student representative on a Charles Sturt University Committee, Faculty or School Board. In addition to the incredible experience and leadership skills to be gained, it is also a fantastic opportunity for interested students to improve their employability by adding a student representative position to their resume. The positions in most instances are 2-year terms, therefore it is preferred that applicants have one or two years of study to go. Don’t miss out on a wonderful opportunity!

Student representatives ensure the student perspective is heard within the University planning and decision-making process by:
- Contributing to the student learning experience by suggesting ideas, solutions and improvements
- Representing student needs and raising issues of concern
- Gathering opinions and views of students and providing student focused feedback
- Participating in professional development and training
