Foundation Day is back!

Foundation Day is on its way! It’s a chance to have fun and celebrate what makes CSU great. Here’s what you need to know:

History

As the name implies, Foundation Day marks the founding of CSU. The University was established on 19 July 1989. That was 29 years ago! Click here to find out the history of your campus and what existed in place of your classrooms now.

A day of celebration

Foundation Day is all about celebrating where we came from, who we are and where we are going. It’s a day to be proud of our CSU culture and community. We celebrate you – our students, staff and alumni because you are the reason we are a striving and growing University!

Each year on this monumental day, our CSU community unite to reflect on our historical foundation and the footprints of those who have led us to where we are; to celebrate our present, including the current students and staff; and to anticipate our future together.

Foundation Day 2018

So, save Wednesday 18 July in your calendar! From red food to fun activities, every CSU campus will be adorned in red and brimming with celebrations. Online students can also join the celebrations at CSU Study Centres.

Start fishing out red clothes and decorations and get excited to be a part of the biggest celebration of the year!

This year, we champion inspiring stories about members of the CSU community. So, as Foundation Day draws near share your stories, experiences and photos on social media with #celebrateCSU. And follow @charlessturtuni to stay in the loop with this year’s preparations.

Keep watching this space for more information about how your campus will celebrate this Foundation Day!
