Desert and main options at The Old Bank in Dubbo

No matter whether you’re a new or returning student, here are a few eating experiences you need to add to your to-do list this session. From fast food take-away to restaurant dining, there’s something for everyone.

The Old Bank

The Old Bank was originally occupied by a National School in 1858, which was then bought by Westpac in 1872. The list of occupants goes on, but was purchased in 2012, and renovated as a restaurant and bar which is now known as The Old Bank.

Their twice cooked pork belly is served with seasonal vegetables, a pearl couscous salad and finished with a sweet honey, balsamic and sesame dressing (to give you a taste).

The Amaroo Hotel

If you’re looking for a pub feed, head to The Amaroo Hotel. You’ll find nightly specials, with $6.50 chicken schnitzels on a Wednesday. If you’re lucky you might even catch some of the local tunes on karaoke night or head upstairs for a dance afterwards.

Sporties Dubbo

You won’t need any convincing to visit the Sporties with an all you can eat buffet for lunch and dinner. Selections includes soup, salad, seafood, roast and Asian cuisine. You’ll be the real winner with dessert too. Think cake, ice cream, and even pavlova.

Hogs Breath

Although not exclusive to Dubbo, Hogs Breath is one of the best places for a mouth-watering steak. The menu consists of a variety of meals such as pork and beef ribs, wraps, salads, burgers, chicken, and seafood. The pork belly pasta is highly recommended as it’s a stand out from the crowd. It’s filled with pork belly pieces and garlic sautéed mushrooms, in a creamy mushroom sauce and spiral pasta.

Mr. Beans Coffee Emporium

A café style meal, suited for a brekkie or brunch date. As well as a relaxed and cozy atmosphere, Mr. Beans Coffee Emporium serves impeccable breakfast and lunch, all topped off with mega shakes. We dare you to try and finish one.
