Do you feel the pressure to perform on a test?
If you’d like the chance to win one of two $50 Coles-Myer gift cards, and to contribute to an important body of psychological research, a CSU researcher has just the opportunity!
The study, entitled Performance and Intelligence, was inspired by the constant performance pressures many university students are facing, and how reactions to such pressures differ according to personal characteristics. In particular, the study aims to investigate how personal beliefs about the nature of intelligence and performance are related to achievement on a short 10-item test.
The study will also explore the thoughts and feelings experienced when you are placed in testing situations.
You can take part in the study online, and it will take about 15 to 20 minutes to complete. The only criteria for participation is you must be 18 years of age or older, and involvement in the study is completely voluntary and anonymous.
Participation also involves using a laptop or computer to download a safe, free program called Inquisit. This process is streamlined within the study, and software should download quite quickly.
If you have further questions about the research, feel free to contact the primary researcher Liz Kennedy at firstname.lastname@example.org
