You might have seen the posters around campus, the desktop backgrounds in the computer labs, or the info on the CSU website – now it’s time to experience Foundation Day for yourself! We’ve got the low-down on all things Foundation Day.
WHO
Foundation Day is for everyone! It’s about the whole CSU family, including students, staff, alumni and people who live in our communities. If you’ve got a connection to CSU, we want you to join the celebrations. You can come to events in person or get involved online.
WHAT
Foundation Day is all about celebrating CSU’s history, values and connections to the community, but it’s also about having fun! Every campus has a morning tea or lunch planned, plus activities like charity fundraisers, a chilli-eating competition and best-dressed competitions depending where you are.
WHEN
Foundation Day is on Wednesday 19 July. It was on this date back in 1989 that CSU was established as a university, although our history dates back to Experiment Farms before 1900!
WHERE
Everywhere! You can join the celebrations on your campus, head to one of our events for online students in Melbourne, Sydney or Wangaratta, or log on from anywhere in the world to share your celebrations on social media.
HOW
Want to know how to get involved? Head to the Foundation Day website to see what’s happening near you, register for a Foundation Day study skills session or join the fun on social media by sharing your photos with #celebrateCSU. You can also catch some of the action on Snapchat throughout the day.
WHY
At CSU, we’re proud of what we’ve achieved for our students and our communities, and of the difference our alumni are making all over the world every day. Foundation Day gives us all the chance to take some time out to celebrate our successes and reflect on all the things that make us proud to be part of CSU.
We’re celebrating CSU Foundation Day on Wednesday 19 July. We’re inviting our students, staff, alumni and community to celebrate our proud history, our successes and our commitment to making this a world worth living in. Find out what’s on or share your celebrations on social media using #celebrateCSU.
