The Career Development Service is here to help all Charles Sturt University students set and achieve career goals. Regardless of your study year, why not start thinking about your life after uni now?
The Career Development Service will help increase your employability skills to enhance your career prospects, plan your future career path, resolve any career indecision and get your foot inside an employer’s door well before the final year of study.
The services can assist you to understand the cycles, elements and jargon of graduate employment. It’s the difference between achieving your career or simply getting a job.
CareerHub is the employer portal that lists job advertisements, info sheets, FAQs, news and links for students and graduates seeking graduate employment, vacation work,
international opportunities, workplace learning, part-time or casual work.
Once you have registered on CareerHub you can make individual appointments with a Career Development Officer and also book into workshops to get you on the right track with employment preparation.
These workshops will further the development of career management competencies. Attending these workshops will also help you develop an enhanced sense of purpose with regard to your university learning and professional development.
Extra-curricular workplace learning is separate from a course related practicum or clinical placement but is becoming increasingly important in terms of providing career development opportunities for students. Before commencing extra-curricular workplace learning remember to lodge and have approved an application for insurance cover with a Career Development Officer.
