Nothing to wine about: the National Cool Climate Wine Show

Bring your best effort. Wine Tasting Event

By Isabella O’Mally

October is one of the busiest times for CSU students in Bathurst. There is the iconic Bathurst 1000, final exams, assignments and the start of warmer weather!

Although your calendar is already starting to fill up, you must not miss the annual National Cool Climate Wine Show, which is held at the Bathurst Showground Pavilion on Friday 20 October.

The wine show is now in its 19th year and has existed to benefit, promote and provide world-class feedback for Australia’s cool climate wine growers. The National Cool Climate Wine Show is the largest wine event inland from a capital city and is getting bigger and better each year.

Although wine judging is a closed event, the Public Tasting Night is the main attraction and is an opportunity to try some of Australia’s best cool climate wine. Not only will you have more than 800 different wines at your fingertips, you’ll also be surrounded by locally sourced fresh food and live music to maximise your tasting experience.

This event delivers the ultimate food and wine experience and is not be missed. A number of Charles Sturt University students are also heavily involved in the show, so not only will you be enjoying a great night out, you’ll also be supporting some of your fellow students!

Tickets are $40pp and can be purchased online.

Your ticket includes a vast array of wine, a long stem logo wine glass, complementary show tasting tours, with complimentary nibbles and live music.

The public tasting night is Friday 20 October 2017, 6:00pm- 9:00pm at the Bathurst Showground Pavilion.

This event is strictly 18 years and over.
