The countdown is on to Foundation Day!
Foundation Day is your chance to wear your favourite red clothes, eat your favourite red foods, and celebrate all the things that make you proud to be a CSU student.
This year we’re celebrating Foundation Day on Wednesday 19 July, which marks the date back in 1989 when the Charles Sturt University Act was signed and we officially became a university.
It’s a time to look back at our past, which dates back to Experiment Farms and Teachers’ Colleges, and look forward to the future. It’s also a time we can celebrate all the things that make CSU great today.
We’re growing into exciting places, like our new campus at Port Macquarie. We’re making a difference in our communities through training graduates who love giving back to regional Australia.
We’re creating opportunities for students from a huge variety of backgrounds to achieve their goals – including students who are the first in their family to attend university.
Our four values of being Insightful, Inclusive, Impactful and Inspiring, and our ethos of Yindyamarra Winhanganha (the wisdom of respectfully knowing how to live well in a world worth living in) underpins everything we do, and we’re proud of what we can achieve when our students, staff, alumni and communities work together.
So start planning your red outfit, keep an eye out for our celebrations on campus, and think about what makes you proud to be part of CSU this Foundation Day.
CSU will celebrate Foundation Day on 19 July 2017. Check out what’s on for Foundation Day on your campus or for online students in Melbourne, Sydney or Wangaratta. You can also join the celebrations from anywhere in the world by sharing your CSU stories using #celebrateCSU.
