Need a hand with your studies in 2015? The Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme (ITAS) aims to provide Indigenous students with academic assistance whilst studying approved tertiary courses. Undergraduate students who are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander can apply, and may be provided with up to two hours of tutorial assistance per week, per enrolled subject.
Students in postgraduate courses and those holding previous degrees may apply for the ITAS but must be assessed individually.
The scheme has been extremely successful at CSU, with students who engage with the ITAS more likely to succeed in their subjects than those who don’t.
To apply, visit the Indigenous Tutorial Assistance Scheme website and fill in the online form. The team will contact you with tutor details should your application be successful.
Students can also nominate a tutor who holds the relevant qualifications. Tutors can register online via the CSU Casual Register.
